Why Deciding To ‘move Forward’ With Putin Is A Big Mistake

Monday November 20

Rashford new position

22:50: Andy Cole thinks Marcus Rashford will have a new position in the future - playing in a centre-forward role.

"I look at him at the moment, he's scoring goals and he's bringing a lot more things to his game,” he told ESPN.

"I think he will end up as a centre-forward.

“I just think at the moment having Lukaku in the team and obviously Zlatan [Ibrahimovic] coming back as well, I think it's good.

"He will learn off the left because when he becomes a centre-forward he will have the full package."

Saha backs Zlatan

19:48: Louis Saha has backed Zlatan Ibrahimovic to come back stronger than ever from injury.

“I think Zlatan hasn’t been injured much in his career," Saha told the club’s official website.

"But, mentally he seems to be very confident about it.

"He doesn’t show fear and he has never been someone who will show it anyway. And he will bring confidence and leadership. The way he moves is more about his brain than his physique.

"You can’t really lose that because he is a big guy who knows how to move, knows the rhythm of the game so this is the thing he will never lose.”

Pogba key to title - Nicol

17.40: Manchester United’s title hopes rest on the shoulders of Paul Pogba and whether he can remain fit for the remainder of the season, says Steve Nicol.

Nicol believes City are favourites for the title because even if they lost a player to injury, it would not affect them.

But if United lost Pogba, he reckons their style of football and results will be hampered.

“I think the difference at United with and without Pogba kind of backs up what we are saying about why we think City are going to win the title,” the Liverpool legend said on ESPN FC.

“If City lost one player, you can pick any one of that starting XI, I don’t think it’s going to change anything.

“Manchester United is a completely different ball-game, if they lose Paul Pogba, they’re more likely to do that parking-the-bus style even more.”

Soler discusses Man Utd links

16:04: Valencia winger Carlos Soler has dismissed reports linking him with a move to Manchester United.

“You already know it. I’m focused on Valencia,” he told Cadena Cope.

“Regarding those things [the interested from Manchester United] I know nothing. It would be foolish to think about those things right now.

“I have to be focused at Valencia. I have a lot of years left [in my contract] and that’s what I have to do.”

Man Utd favourites for Rose

14:53: Manchester United are the favourites with the bookmakers to sign Tottenham defender Danny Rose.

Manchester United want to sign Rose, who has struggled to break back into the Tottenham XI after suffering an injury last season.

And bookmakers Betway have priced United as the evens favourite to snap up Rose in January.

Indeed, United are shorter odds than Tottenham themselves (7/4) to have Rose on their books come the transfer deadline.

Chelsea are 5/1 to sign Rose, with Manchester City at 12/1 and Arsenal 33/1.

Herrera clause triggered

14:40: Manchester United have triggered the one-year extension clause in Ander Herrera’s contract.

The Red Devils faced the possibility of losing the midfielder on a free transfer in the summer as his contract ran down but have acted swiftly to prevent that.

United will now use the additional year to continue negotiating with Herrera in the hope he will agree a new, longer contract.

Juan Mata, Luke Shaw, Ashley Young and Daley Blind’s are also expected to see their contract clauses activated.
